Western University Policy and Regulations

The academic policies and regulations of the French Immersion School and Western University apply to all students studying at the School. Academic policies and regulations are described in the University's academic calendar, which may be consulted at Western, at the School office or on the web: westerncalendar.uwo.ca

Student Handbook

Take a few minutes to read the Student Handbook which outlines your responsibilities during the program, whether online or in-person in Trois-Pistoles.

Academic work outside of the program

Due to the intensity of the immersion program, academic work outside of, but concurrent with your Trois-Pistoles course is not recommended. Your immersion experience requires your full and exclusive attention.

Refund Policy

An application fee and deposit are due at the time of registration. Request for withdrawal received a minimum of 30 calendar days prior to the course start date will be granted a refund of the deposit or total fees paid less a $50 withdrawal charge. Request for withdrawal after 30 days and a minimum of 15 days prior to the course start date will be granted a refund of 75% of course fees. No refunds are given after 15 days prior to the start of a course.

In the case of a cancellation due to COVID-related illness, a full refund of fees paid will be provided. If the entire program is cancelled, we will provide a full refund of fees paid.

Health and Safety Policy

As part of a strengthened COVID-19 vaccination policy at Western University, all members of our community participating in programming on-site in Trois-Pistoles will be required to demonstrate proof of vaccination, unless granted a rare exemption by Western. As health guidelines continue to evolve, we encourage students to regularly check their email, as well as the School's Health and Safety Page, for further information as we approach the start of the program.
