Five Week Credit Program
The Five Week Credit Program will be ONLINE in SPRING 2022.
Our online credit programming features our partner town of Trois-Pistoles and offers a variety of activities that will provide you with the foundation to learn French and experience Quebecois culture from the comfort of your own home.
At the French Immersion School, we emphasize an integrated approach to learning. All elements of the online program - the courses, the workshops, and the social and cultural activities - reinforce one another and maximize opportunities for you to hear and speak French and to enrich your cultural experience.

Bursaries
The Explore Program offers bursaries to students (18+) who wish to learn French. This funding covers most program costs: tuition, accommodation and meals, workshops and
Western University offers bursaries to prospective participants of our Five Week Credit Program who are not eligible for Explore funding but demonstrate financial need. Please contact us at tpistole@uwo.ca for details and an application form.
Courses
Take one full course or two half courses (75 hours) to earn a full-year university credit.

Please complete the online placement test and select an appropriate level course at the time of registration. We will use your placement test results, as well as any previous French courses taken, to finalize your course selection.
After successful completion of the program, and once your final grade is posted, you may order an official transcript from Western University.
How to Apply
Step One
Complete the placement test and keep a record of your score.
Step Two
You will be asked to provide the following information when applying:
- Placement test results
- Previous French language studies (if any)
- Course code(s) for the course(s) you wish to take
- Non-refundable application fee of $275 CAD
Step Three
Complete the online application.
