Health and Safety

Western's French Immersion School is excited to welcome you back while prioritizing the health and safety of our students, staff and community in Trois-Pistoles. To keep everyone safe, we are implementing additional health and safety measures in the School, at events and in the family homes.

Health and Safety Measures

  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitation of common areas
  • A reduction in the number of people living and dining in one home
  • Improved ventilation in the School
  • Increased outdoor sociocultural activities
  • Health screening and testing, as needed

Vaccination Policy

As part of a strengthened COVID-19 vaccination policy at Western University, all members of our community participating in programming on-site in Trois-Pistoles will be required to demonstrate proof of vaccination, unless granted a rare exemption in accordance with the policy.

Mask Policy

Western will continue to require that masks be worn indoors until the end of June. A decision about masking for the summer term will be communicated by mid-June. The French Immersion School will have medical grade (ASTM level 3) masks available for all participants and staff.

We will update this page as information becomes available. We encourage registered students to regularly check their email, as well as this page, for further information as we approach the start of the summer session.
